YES BOONE

Multi-talented Sydney producer, DJ and frontman Yes Boone has always been a self-starter. As a teenager he fell in love with the sounds Avicii and Skrillex were pioneering, drawn to the way they combined the human and the synthetic. He spent a year “tinkering” in solitude, a period he says “created a bespoke and idiosyncratic way that I make music.” He began sharing tracks on SoundCloud and making DJ mixes, and winning a DJ mix competition in his final year of high school put him on the map locally. Joining a band straight after school then showed him what it really took to take the leap as an artist.

That grounding in both the booth and the band shapes everything he does. Yes Boone pairs the detail-obsessed ear of a studio producer with the charisma of history’s great frontmen. His productions fuse the pulse of French house with the dark, introspective flair of British post-punk, and every track carries a field recording from wherever he was when he started writing it. “I like to embed little parts of my life in the music,” he explains.

His 2025 debut EP Best I’ve Found made him a name to watch. Lead single ‘All I Really Want’ went to #1 on the Australian club charts, reached the Top 10 of the ARIA Australian singles chart and the Top 5 on Shazam and radio across Australia and New Zealand, and earned a nomination for Best Dance/Electronic Release at the 2026 ARIA Awards. The same year he was nominated for Breakthrough Independent Artist of the Year at the AIR Awards. His catalogue has now passed 20 million streams, with radio support from triple j, BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 6 Music, 1LIVE and stations across Europe.

The live show has grown in step. Yes Boone has sold out headline shows across Australia in 700-plus capacity rooms, along with his debut London show, and has played festivals including Beyond The Valley, Wildlands and Ability Fest. He has shared stages with Diplo, Dom Dolla and Martin Garrix, supported Odd Mob, Crooked Colours and Young Franco, and had his records played by the likes of FISHER, Purple Disco Machine and Barry Can’t Swim.

Now signed to Warner Records US and Warner Music Australia, he has opened his next era with ‘Nosebleeds’, a stadium-sized single that went to #1 on triple j’s Most Played and is climbing the Australian radio and Shazam charts. It is the first taste of a forthcoming project written with big rooms in mind. “I really made these records with a stadium in mind,” he says. “If I want to play stadiums, I have to make stadium music. Big songs, aggressive distortion, it’s nighttime, the sun’s just gone down, and it’s big big stages.” The tracks still reward close listening, packed with small details for anyone with headphones on.

This summer Yes Boone tours nationally with Spilt Milk, co-headlines Neon Tides in Adelaide and plays Party In The Paddock in Tasmania. With a visual world he designs and directs himself and a live show built to scale, the magnetic maestro is ready for bigger stages. The best is still to come.
